Held in Belgaum, India

On December 25th and 26th 2020 we ran the first Kundakala workshops in Belgaum, India.

We identified five women with disadvantaged backgrounds who had rudimentary tailoring skills and used to get one off work from master tailors who used to cut patterns and engage the women to complete stitching for products.

Through this workshop, they were able to gain the skills of cutting patterns themselves, thereby improving their worth in the tailoring market.

We added homeware products such as aprons, table mats, napkins and coasters  to their range and all the women were paid for the creation of the products.
