Inspired by Indian miniature painting, The Dreamer, dressed in Mughal finery, is contemplating into the distance with a friendly deer by his side.
The painting is on Tussar, a kind of silk that is obtained from the wide-winged moth, Antheraea Paphia, and is yellowish brown in colour. We have obtained this pure silk from the south Indian state of Karnataka.
The scarf is hand finished by the artist and her helpers and therefore might have minor imperfections in the finish that you wouldn’t find in a mass-produced machine product.
We are aiming to minimise our environmental footprint as much as possible and to do away with unnecessary packaging. All scarves will be delivered in a small hand-made reusable fabric pouch, Batwa, at no added cost.
